What I’ve come to learn about body image and how I perceive my body:

It isn’t about the looks and solely trying to make myself see my body in a more positive way.

The way I see my body is simply expressing something about internal elements and states of my being.

You know this? Some days you enjoy what you see in the mirror and other days you might think you’ve gained 5kg over night?
Our perception seems to change immensely and very rapidly when it comes to body.

So what I’ve come to see is that actually:
It is really my inner state that plays a role here.
My body, as well as the perception I have about it simply reflect to me this inner state.

So yes, I might gain or lose weight…what is the deeper reason behind this?

When I look deeply at my body (in the mirror or gazing at certain body parts) and go beyond “eewww it should look differently” but actually look and allow my body to speak to me…
She actually tells me why she looks the way she looks, why she feels the way she feels….

Communication, inquiry, curiosity are a key.
