In the “socialised” world people look to figures like politicians and the media to gather their beliefs and world views.

In the “spiritual”/ self-development world people follow gurus, social media profiles and “wisdom teachers” or similar…

Nothing wrong with gathering info and consulting others who have knowledge in our field of interest.

AND: we humans have some deep trauma that has us gasping for air and support and a feeling of safety.
This trauma stems from a deep disconnect from our home planet and its nature, the disconnect from our bodies and souls/innermost selves.
So we look and try to find safety in all kinds of things.

The “non-spiritual” people in material things, jobs, money, status,…

The “spiritual” or “personal development” people seek it in the next big breakthrough, revelation/download, insight, guru, next great teacher/teaching or in rigid discipline which promises the relief from suffering.

In my view, it’s all the same energies, just different expressions…

The question is: Are we actually hearing the deep self/soul? And what does this part have to say?

In a recent conversation a question came up and it went:
“How do we know when the (inner) work that we’re doing works?”

One answer that arose was:
When there is a deeper state of receptivity to existence.
A deepened capacity to listen – to the body, the universe, nature, other (human) beings…

A receiving of and listening to the deeper will.
