To some it might seem that I am doing “another thing once again”.
To me it is my journey of living as a human soul and travelling through this life that continues to draw me into studies.
All the things I have been studying and learning over the past 10+ years – from yoga to massage to somatic therapy and now astrology – for me, they intimately intertwine as they are all part of the journey of exploring consciousness and being an integrated human being.
I have been an eager student of Evolutionary Astrology for the past 3.5 years.
There have been more quiet observing times and more active, intellectual studying times with it (continues to be so).
I often read, listen to audio or video materials, contemplate the information while I walk, lie in the forest, swim or observe other humans.
I gave some first readings in 2023 and came to see that I wanted to understand the system more deeply before offering more.
A few months ago I got some inspiration and encouragement to give readings again. I decided to follow those encouragements.
Through giving readings I keep on diving further into the perspective of Evolutionary Astrology and find this system quite mind-boggling in its depth.
It goes far beyond “I’m a Virgo Sun and Cancer Moon and Leo Ascendant”.
In EA, the chart is interpreted also according to where Pluto stands, where the North and South Nodes of the Moon stand as well as where the planetary rulers of those nodes stand.
The aspects are looked at in accordance to the phasal relationship between the planets…
I stop here with using this lingo because it is obviously specific but I wanted to give an idea about the depth and insight into the human soul that a more thorough chart reading can provide.
Like many I obviously heard about astrology from a young age. Everyone seems to know a bit of something.
For a long time I didn’t really resonate with what I heard about astrology. I didn’t like the perspective of “we’re fcked because the planets…” or “we’re lucky because currently this is happening…”
For me it took until 5-6 years ago when astrology began entering my life in a way that, in hindsight sparked a curiosity.
I eventually heard the term “Evolutionary Astrology” and when I looked it up I resonated and began studying.
As I have mentioned, this branch is looking at the human as a soul that incarnates because it intends to learn and integrate certain lessons.
Personally, I gained some deep insight from this way of reading and the biggest plus I see in it is that we can see how we can CHOOSE our direction and which potential we want to activate.
We aren’t either lucky or unlucky with our planetary constellations.
The birth chart actually serves as a macrocosmic mirror of our microcosmic selves.
Each planet is a reflection of a part of our human consciousness.
The Sun for example is a very central part and represents our personality and the development of it.
Mercury represents intellect, rational thinking and our communicating self.
Venus is the part in us that relates to others, our values are also her.
So the planets go on…
Pluto is far out, far away from the Sun and therefore represents the deep unconscious mind.
It is also interesting to mention that Pluto was discovered around 1920 last century, when the understanding of a subconscious/unconscious mind started entering the study of human psychology in the West.
So as each planet represents a macrocosmic reflection of some part in our individual consciousness, we can then look at the sign (and house) in which that planet stands in order to get an idea of how the part of our consciousness is looking to express itself in this life time.
There is always a higher evolutionary response or a lower one possible.
With Mars in Aries for example you can get an aggressive violent person in a worse case.
A soul/human who chooses to learn more about healthy integrated anger though can become a healthy warrior type which is deeply rooted in the body and its instinctual intelligence, protecting the vulnerable and standing for what it believes in.
This a very simple example..Please be aware that Mars in Aries may not only mean that which I just wrote. It usually makes more sense to look at the chart and individual human as a whole.
Astrology is not an ultimate solution (of course). For the soul seeker or soul who seeks to embody this human life more solidly, it can be a useful tool though and might help you to a soothing exhale 🌬💗
How does Astrology work?
I personally increasingly see that Astrology is an observeable phenomena and not merely something that needs to be believed in.
And yet, as we know from Quantum studies, the observer plays an active role in the outcome of the experiment…
So how one chooses to engage with astrology plays a role.
